If you work with regional and/or unemployed young people then ROADS is interested in collaborating with you in order to gain training and employment for the young people you work with.
ROADS has extensive connections with the civil construction industry and Local Government and is working with them to address their workforce shortages. Our Employer Support Coordinator is working with employers in order to ensure that provide superior on-the-job training as a result of a solid understanding of young people and how to manage and support them in the work place. In addition, the Employer Support Coordinator works with employers in order to assist them in dealing with the administrative responsibilities of employing and supervising trainees.
The Trainees' Support Coordinator is available to work with young people and community support agencies to link job ready trainees into the civil construction industry. The Trainees' Support Coordinator provides trainees with a specific induction training that covers;
- -General work and personal development skills;
- -Budgeting and looking after your money;
- -Interview Preparation
- -Know your rights and your responsibilities as an employee;
- -Information about the Certificate III in Civil Construction
- -Career opportunities in civil construction;
In addition all trainees will be linked into the Peer Network and Mentor Network immediately following induction.
